Wonder

The world that surrounds us is full of wonder and wonderful things.  There are also such a wide range of feelings and emotions to experience. There are so many things to wonder about and consider.

Wondering is an act of desiring or having curiosity to know about something or the answer to a question. It is considering the possibilities and the options. It keeps us open, growing, and in excited anticipation. I am a wonderer. Do you ever wonder? Are you a wonderer, too?

Wonder

Do you ever wonder?
I wonder if
All the stars and galaxies are alone
Or are they someone or something’s home?

Do you ever wonder?
I wonder if
Within all this intricate plan and design
Are there answers to explain and find?

Do you ever wonder?
I wonder if
Things we cannot see, but only feel
Are they what should be most valued and real?

Do you ever wonder?
I wonder if
Love can be timeless and spaceless
Lasting when your lover is distant, intangible and faceless?

Do you ever wonder?
I wonder if
People are really all the same
Just different covers, playing life’s game?

Do you ever wonder?
I wonder if
Living creatures feel human emotions
That sadness and pain produce for them doleful inner commotions?

Do you ever wonder?
I wonder if
There is uncompromising universal truth
Standing outside of time, not remote or aloof

Do you ever wonder?
I wonder if
Dreams, wishes, and prayers can really come true
And are there answers to mysteries? Can we perceive the clues?

Do you ever wonder?
I wonder if
There is meaning and significance for each one of us
Knowing with confidence in God’s plan we can trust?

Do you ever wonder?
I wonder if
When God knows our true hearts seeing the good
Will we be forgiven of our sin, do we think He could?

“’For I know the plans I have for you,’ declares the Lord, ‘plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.’”
Jeremiah 29:11

“Since what may be known about God is plain to them, because God has made it plain to them. For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse.”
Romans 1:19-20

“Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.”
Hebrews 11:1

“For he has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of the Son he loves,  in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.”
Colossians 1:13-14
