An Unexamined Faith

An unexamined faith is not worth believing.

Socrates said an unexamined life is not worth living; I say an unexamined faith is not worth believing.

An examined faith has deep roots to anchor and a strong foundation to support. It can withstand scrutiny, debate, and criticism--a faith that cannot be denied or denounced. An examined faith is a faith that evangelizes making disciples of its believers.

"Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit," Matthew 28:19
