Never Alone

During this current pandemic that we are all experiencing, being alone is a fact for many of us. In times of isolation one can feel abandoned and forgotten by others. We can feel no one even knows or understands us. We can find ourselves trapped in our thoughts wondering if anyone cares. This is when we can turn to our Christian faith to see a solution.

When we feel despair look to God’s Word to discover the answers we are seeking. Scripture promises us that we are not alone. God will never change, and He will always remain the same, steadfast in His promise to never leave or forsake us. So now is the time to look up to God, not down into ourselves or out to others for reassurance. It is God who will bring us comfort and hope.

Never Alone

Sitting still in the quiet of placid silence
Alone in this defining solitude
I wince Wondering if I really matter to anyone
Not knowing my future fate to come

But isn’t this how we really already are?
No one can perceive my thoughts from afar
Within me streaming chatter ebbs and flows
It’s only my quest this desire to understand and know

Others are also caught into themselves
This is where we all live and delve
No fault but just as it is
This curious mystery persists to quiz

In the lingering moments the isolation persists and prolongs
But maybe I could have it someway all wrong
I don’t have to dwell inside myself and remain Things can change, not stay the same

The answer and solution were always here God was, is, will always be close and near
His promise is: It will never be too late
I trust with certainty His loving presence will endure, not forsake

"No one will be able to stand against you all the days of your life. As I was with Moses, so I will be with you; I will never leave you nor forsake you." Joshua 1:5

never-alone
