I wrote this poem to wish peace upon the world, knowing that peace begins first with each one of us, in our own hearts. May the peace of God that surpasses all understanding remain with us always and may it spread throughout the world bringing peace to all. Let your light shine bright for all to see.

Peace

The feeling of calm when all heads are spinning
Never based on conquering or winning
But on a heart that stays open and willing

Through shining eyes are seen God's light
Giving the ability to sleep all through the night
Knowing there is never a reason to hate or fight

Despite all anxiety, worry, and fears
It lasts even as we grow old over the years
Still forgiving and loving through shed tears

Something no human may ever understand
Forbearance to bear pain and withstand
Knowing Heaven is the future promised land

This peace of God centers making us stable
With confidence we know that we are able
With Him and through Him, we are capable

The peace and strength are all His
He remains unchanged and always is
He wants our hearts, but does not insist

God waits patiently to love and forgive
Harmony and joy are the gifts His peace gives
It is because within our hearts the Savior lives!
